Svaneti, the highest inhabited region in Europe, nested on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range, is located in the north-western part of Georgia. Svaneti, being one of the top most visited destinations of Georgia, is known to be attracting tourists by the “dramatic beauty” of its nature, being at the same time a vivid chronicler of Georgian history, a treasury often referenced as “a living museum of Georgian art and culture”.The architectural monuments of Svaneti are listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are tourist attractions of national importance.
There are two ski resorts in Svaneti – Tetnuldi and Hatsvali.There is an Airport in Mestia that offers domestic flights. The region is also accessible by vehicles
